About the program
Amideast Lebanon is pleased to offer a unique opportunity for highly qualified Syrian students in Lebanon to receive assistance identifying scholarships for a bachelor's degree at a U.S. university.
The Safar-Ibiary Syrian College Prep Program was launched in honor of Madiha Safar and Naima Ibiary, who instilled in their families a deep appreciation for the value of education, an appreciation that has made all the difference in their own lives and now in the lives of students as well.
Through this initiative, Amideast identifies students of exceptional accomplishment and promise who wish to pursue undergraduate study at an American college or university but cannot afford to do so. The program makes that path possible for Syrian students from underserved populations across Lebanon.
