About the Hope Fund
For nearly two decades, the Hope Fund has provided higher educational opportunities in the United States for exceptional Palestinian students living in the Palestinian Territories, Lebanon and Jordan, particularly refugees and others from disadvantaged circumstances.
To date, nearly 200 Palestinian men and women have been selected based on their character and strong academic qualifications, as well as limited financial resources that pose an obstacle to their pursuit of a higher education. The Hope Fund is funded entirely by private donations and does not receive funding from the United States government or other governments.
What the Hope Fund covers

Program history
In 1999, Dr. Fahim Qubain began exploring how to help educate children living in the poorest corners of the region's refugee camps. In 2000, he and his wife Nancy established the Hope Fund Corporation as a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, with Amideast as its key in-region partner for selecting and preparing prospective students. The Hope Fund welcomed its first two students in 2001 at Roanoke College, both graduating cum laude in May 2005. After 15 years as an independent nonprofit, the Hope Fund became part of Amideast in May 2015.
